Finding a good raincoat can be tricky. Typically, you have to choose between looking dated in an unattractive boxy jacket that will keep you dry or risk getting wet in a cuter coat that isn’t as waterproof as it claims. Thankfully, I’ve finally found one that’s as fashionable as it is functional in the Lolë Piper rain jacket.

When the brand offered to send me one to try, I jumped at the chance. I loved the look of the elegant jacket and I was excited to put it to the test, and when I found out that the lightweight jacket could convert into a backpack, I was particularly intrigued. I’ve been wearing the raincoat for a few months now and it’s quickly become my go-to jacket for spring.

The last few weeks have been quite rainy here in New York, so I’ve really been able to put Jacket to good use. It’s comfortable, light and stylish all at the same time, and I was able to wear it with a variety of different outfits, including casual leggings and beautiful dresses. I love that the coat has a drawstring in the middle that cinches my waist for a flattering fit. There are also drawstrings at the cuffs and on the hood, as well as a storm flap at the collar, to prevent wind and rain from entering the inside of the jacket, which was very useful when I wore it during races. cool mornings.

The shell of the coat is made from a waterproof polyurethane material which is super durable and it’s lined with a polyester fabric that’s soft and silky against my skin. Jacket features taped seams to really keep moisture out and a convenient two-way zipper. And I can vouch for it, I stayed dry every time I wore this jacket.

There are two zipped front pockets, as well as an inside zipped pocket which are all very roomy – I can easily store my keys, card holder, phone and hand sanitizer and still have room for more. My favorite part is perhaps the fact that the jacket is super easy to pack and can be folded into the integrated pouch and worn as a backpack. This came in handy a few weeks ago when I wore the coat for a hike and started to warm up halfway through. I could just transform the light coat into a bag in seconds and even with the coat fully padded inside there was still room for my other essentials like my phone and keys.

I have the olive color, and it also comes in beige and black versions. The waterproof jacket vary in size from XXS to XXL, and a size chart with measurements will help you find the right size. At $149 each, it’s definitely more expensive than other raincoats on the market, but the fact that it’s as stylish as it is practical, I’d say it’s definitely worth the price. Buy one below.
