After nearly 20 years of catering for women in Old Town, Elizabeth Todd’s men’s boutique yellow jacket is finally where she wants it to be.
Yellow jacket (301 Cameron Street) had a soft opening in November when it briefly shared space with Todd’s women’s boutique the Hivewhich it opened in 2016. The hive has since moved down the street to its new location in 315 Cameron Street. Todd also owns The shoe hivewhich it opened in 2003.
“Since we opened The Hive for womenswear five years ago, we’ve had a steady stream of customers asking us to open a men’s store and with everyone ready to freshen up their closets post-pandemic, we decided to take the plunge,” Todd mentioned. “” Our philosophy is that you should look good, feel confident and be comfortable and we have
chose lines of clothing and accessories that go along with it.
The “elevated casual” boutique will host a grand opening on Thursday, April 21 with an Atlanta-based clothing designer Sid Mashburn, who will take the measurements for the made-to-measure shirts. The party will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Mashburn will also return to the shop from 9 a.m. to noon the next day to make an appointment.
Most shirts and pants are over $100, and Yellow Jacket has designer clothes, including Johnnie-O, vince, Bullet and buck, Forward Reserve, Rag&Bone, James Pearse, Mizzen and Maineand jeans by Paige and John AG.
