IXS launches the Lennik-ST four-season touring jacket

Motorcycle gear companies design four-season motorcycle jackets to handle whatever the road throws at them. It’s no surprise for grand tourers to experience all four seasons in a single day of riding, and the versatile features help the jackets adapt to different conditions. As more bikes come out of hibernation in the northern hemisphere, Swiss gear manufacturer IXS introduces the Lennik-ST jacket with four-season functionality.

IXS may highlight the weather resistance of the Lennik-ST, but it also does not shed light on safety. Made of 450D polyester, the textile outer shell remains lightweight while providing rugged protection. Additional security comes in the form of reinforced Hitena-lined panels at the elbows and shoulders. As expected, the Lennik-ST also features Level 2 Impac-TEC elbow and shoulder armor, but IXS includes Level 2 back protection as standard. These protective properties lead to a Class AA PPE classification.

The four-season jacket adapts effortlessly to different climates thanks to the soltoTEX waterproof membrane and a removable thermal layer. For warmer temperatures, the fixed mesh lining and eight vents optimize airflow. Two-way zippers at the cuffs allow users to amp up insulation or ventilation, while additional adjustments at the arms, elbows, wrists and waist allow for customization of the fit.

An elastic drawstring cinches the waist for a snug silhouette, and color-coded soft inserts enhance comfort. Five exterior pockets, two interior pockets, and a Napoleon pocket provide more than enough storage space, and the pant connection loop helps riders pair the shapeshifting jacket with appropriate IXS touring pants.

The Swiss brand offers the Lennik-ST jacket entirely in black and in a grey/brown/orange color scheme. Priced at €299.95 (US$315), the IXS jacket is available in sizes S-5XL. With a multitude of protective materials, multiple layers and comfort-focused features, the IXS Lennik-ST prepares grand touring riders for varying open road conditions.
